Let the collaborating begin…
It's almost here, and we're excited to share the news! Big Rock Brewery is thrilled to be a part of Session Toronto's, Collaboration Nation on June 11th at Yonge and Dundas. The 7th annual event celebrates independent breweries and their dedication to bringing NEW tastes to the palates of beer drinkers. It teams up craft breweries with celebrities... and results have been stellar to date. Festival attendees get to vote for their favourite beer and the winner gets a coveted listing in the LCBO!
So what are we brewing... 
Oliver & Bonacini Restaurants Executive Chef Anthony Walsh has teamed up with our Big Rock Ontario Brewmaster Connor K. Patrick to create a faux Gose style beer called Lip Sumac-er.

Lip Sumac-er, Big Rock Brewery and Oliver & Bonacini Collaboration Brew
Style: Lemon Balm and Sumac Faux Gose
ABV: 4.5 %
Key Ingredients: Lemon Balm, Sumac, Sea Salt, Pale and Wheat Malts
Aroma: Lemon, citrus notes
Colour: Light, bright yellow with just a hint of the red carrying through from the sumac
Flavour: While the sumac brings colour and a subtle saltiness to this brew, the lemon balm steals the show. Tart and sweet... lip sumac-ing good!
Food Pairing by Chef Walsh...
Beer and great food to boot! Not only did Chef Walsh try his hand at brewing for this event, but he and his team will be on-site June 11th cooking slow roast Citradelic Pork Butt with spent grain bannock, Nasty Fiddles and Bourbon Barrel Porter Mop.
