We’ll avoid getting too mushy here, but there’s something about Thanksgiving that bubbles up those warm fuzzy feelings. At Big Rock we’ve been brewing handcrafted beer in Canada for 31 years now, and along for the ride every step of the way has been our Traditional Ale.
One of our original three craft brews, 'Trad' was also one of the first English-Style Brown Ales ever brewed in Canada. We’re so thankful that Canadians have made it part of their traditions, and that it continues to find new fans with each generation.
Brewmaster Paul Gautreau and his brew team deserve much of the credit for brewing such a consistently tasty brew over the decades, but Paul says the key to Traditional Ale’s success starts in the fields of our local farmers.
“We live in the best barley growing regions in the world. Our farmers produce an unmatched quality product. Their barley is the backbone of this beer,” says Gautreau.
And so… as we reflect on all the things we are thankful for this Thanksgiving long weekend… know that your friends at Big Rock are raising a pint of Trad for our farming communities and YOU our Traditional fans.
No tear in our beer… but it’s darn close. We’re just so THANKFUL!
