CALGARY, Nov. 18, 2015 /CNW/ - Partners encourage safe holiday celebrations…
As holiday parties get underway across the city, Big Rock Brewery is marking 10 years of partnering with the Calgary Police Service and Associated Cab on the #GetHomeSafe campaign.
Starting Friday, November 20th, and throughout the month of December, this city wide program acts as a visible reminder for Calgarians to know their limits and have a transportation plan if they are going to be drinking.
More than 100 bars and restaurants will display posters and distribute over 30,000 coasters with messaging that urges patrons at bars and restaurants to not get behind the wheel of a vehicle if they are impaired. A series of radio spots will also include a message from Mayor Naheed Nenshi.
As always, CPS will be out in full force throughout the season ensuring our roads are safe, while Associated Cab does its part in this #GetHomeSafe campaign. Associated Cab's new free app also offers more customized service and tracking features for this busy time of year.
Note for media: Representatives from CPS, Big Rock Brewery and Associated Cab will be available to speak to the media,Friday, November 20th, 11 am at CPS Traffic Office, 6528 11 Street N.E. Calgary.
