Sales and Marketing Coordinator

Location: Calgary, AB

Description

Are you collaborative, detail-oriented, and a little crafty? We have the perfect role for you! This entry-level position supports sales and marketing execution, drives category growth, and works with cross-functional teams to achieve brand objectives — all while building key skills for future advancement at Big Rock. In addition to sales and marketing support, this role covers reception and administrative duties, acting as the first point of contact for customers, visitors, and vendors. You'll help create a welcoming, professional atmosphere, provide superior guest service in our on-site retail store, and ensure our products are showcased beautifully. This is a full-time role with hours of Monday to Friday, 40 hours per week.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Actively support the execution of brand plans to deliver on key brand and business goals.
  • Work closely with sales leadership in goal setting and performance monitoring.
  • Track and update the internal commercial team on key commercial initiatives.
  • Support the sales team in preparing monthly performance reviews with the VP Sales.
  • Maintain the sales repository and other sales-related tools.
  • Handle registration and pricing submissions, and update pricing and merchandising.
  • Closely monitor the competitive landscape, activities, and brand performance.
  • Support in executing events and sponsorships, maximizing brand opportunities.
  • Coordinate sales conferences and training.
  • Maintain and coordinate sales materials and trade tool inventory.
  • Participate in trade shows and events on behalf of Big Rock
  • Manage the reception desk: answer phones, greet visitors, and handle customer inquiries.
  • Process customer orders, assist with retail store stocking, and handle package deliveries.
  • Operate the POS system, count cash, manage opening/closing floats, and balance daily sales.
  • Act as the resource person for the sales team regarding Master Data and ERP.
  • Support budget management through POs, invoicing, and expense tracking.
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders (Packaging, Graphic, Operations, Sales) to accomplish business objectives.
  • Perform other related duties as required and assigned.

Qualifications

  • Must be at least 18 years of age (legal drinking age).
  • Must have or be willing to complete AGLC ProServe certification.
  • 1–2 years of relevant sales or marketing experience.
  • Advanced knowledge of MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, SharePoint).
  • Previous experience in CPG is an asset.
  • Previous experience in the beer/alcohol industry is an asset.
  • Experience executing go-to-market strategies and new product releases.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills both written and verbal.
  • Strong attention to detail, time-management, organizational skills, and ability to multitask.
  • High energy, proactive mindset, and passion for Big Rock’s vision and mission.
  • Ability to work effectively in team settings and collaborate across departments.
