ANNOUNCEMENT

March 17, 2020

With growing global concerns around COVID-19 (or “coronavirus”), Big Rock wanted to provide an update on our response to date and our commitment to you moving forward. To avoid the abundance of misinformation, our decisions will be made in accordance with health care officials and government bodies to mitigate the spread of COVID-19.

The health, safety, and well-being of our employees, consumers, and partners is Big Rock’s top priority and we will continue to follow the recommendations of governing bodies as they evolve at this important time. We continue to monitor developments very closely and commit to updating you in a timely manner.

Cleanliness and quality have always been a priority for Big Rock, and we have used this as an opportunity to reassess the stringent policies and procedures that we maintain. Big Rock maintains it’s British Retail Consortium certification and undergoes annual audits allowing us to deliver on the highest quality achievable. We encourage all Big Rockers to exercise caution and take all appropriate health and safety measures. Additionally, we are taking a series of precautionary steps in response to the outbreak. Some of the steps are as follows:

  • Restricting access to our manufacturing areas and facilities
  • Practicing “social distancing”.
  • Reporting any personal travel to management is required by all employees.
  • Suspending all travel; and
  • Rescheduling or cancelling public events.

We have also implemented additional measures to ensure the safety of our team and the production and manufacturing of our products. Including:

  • Introducing enhanced sanitization protocols in all of our locations; the virus is easily eliminated by routine surface cleaning and the cleaning products we use are industrial-grade and food service approved;
  • We have implemented departmental isolation in our manufacturing operational areas.  Access is restricted to only those employees with designated roles in the applicable areas; and
  • Increasing communications and reminders to our employees and partners on important health and safety measures.

The COVID-19 outbreak is extremely concerning and not taken lightly at Big Rock. We believe the extreme preventative measures we are taking as a company are an important step in overcoming this challenge locally and nationally. We promise to monitor the situation closely and keep you informed. In the meantime, please take care of yourselves and each other.
